Sharleen Kohnke, Robert Kohnke Death News – Akron police say a husband and wife were found dead Tuesday afternoon following a welfare check at a home on Casterton Avenue. Officers were called to the residence after a family member from out of state requested a check on the couple.
Authorities identified the two individuals as a 60-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the incident was domestic in nature, and no other individuals are believed to be involved.
Police stated this was the first time officers had responded to the home, as the couple was new to the area. Officials also emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to confirm the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
