Jason K. Acup, Fatal Two-Car Crash in Capron Claims Life of Sharon Man.

Officials in Boone County are investigating a deadly traffic crash that occurred Thursday evening in Capron.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. on March 5 to reports of a two-vehicle collision in the 7000 block of Manchester Road.

The crash involved Jason K. Acup, 49, of Sharon, who was driving eastbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car traveling west. Authorities confirmed that Acup died at the scene from his injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not released the identity of the hospitalized driver.

Investigators are reviewing the circumstances of the crash to determine contributing factors, including roadway conditions and driver behavior. Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains active and that additional information may be released as it becomes available.
