San Antonio authorities are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist late Thursday night. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:25 p.m. near the intersection of Congress Avenue and South Flores Street.

Police identified the motorcyclist as 33-year-old Glenn Cabatbat. Investigators said Cabatbat was waiting to make a left turn when a pickup truck turned left in front of him. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the truck.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided assistance. Despite efforts to render aid, Cabatbat died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, authorities said.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and stopped to assist following the collision. Police have not reported any immediate charges and have not indicated that impairment or speed were contributing factors at this time.

The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Officials are reviewing evidence and working to determine the sequence of events leading up to the collision.
