Glen Blackwell III, Jackson Police Identify Victim in Grove Circle Apartment Shooting.
Jackson authorities have released the name of one of the victims involved in Thursday’s shooting at an apartment complex on Grove Circle near North State Street.
The victim has been identified as Glen Blackwell III. According to the Jackson Police Department, Blackwell and another individual were injured during the incident and transported by ambulance to local hospitals. Blackwell later died from his injuries, while the second victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the shooting involved five or six masked suspects and is believed to be related to a robbery. The suspects fled the scene on foot, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Homicide detectives, along with the Robbery/Robbery Unit, are actively investigating the incident. Authorities are asking anyone with information.
The department emphasized that investigations are ongoing and urged the public to remain vigilant while authorities work to identify and apprehend the suspects.
