Frankie Simpson, Head-On Crash on Lebanon Road in Boyle County Claims Life.

Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal head-on collision that occurred early Friday morning on Lebanon Road.

According to the Kentucky State Police, officers responded around 7:15 a.m. to the intersection of Lebanon Road and Alum Springs Road after receiving reports of a serious two-vehicle collision.

Preliminary findings indicate that a westbound Cadillac SRX crossed the centerline and collided with an eastbound Toyota Highlander. The driver of the Cadillac, 41-year-old Frankie Simpson, was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. The Boyle County coroner confirmed the death.

The driver of the Toyota Highlander also received treatment at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.

Authorities said the scene is being thoroughly investigated, and a crash reconstruction team is reviewing the circumstances to determine factors that contributed to the collision.

State police emphasize that investigations like this can take time as evidence is carefully collected, and they urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.

This incident highlights the importance of road safety, especially on rural highways and roads with limited visibility, and reminds drivers to exercise caution and stay attentive at all times.

As officials continue their investigation, what measures do you think can help prevent head-on collisions and improve safety for drivers on busy two-way roads?
