Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Baton Rouge.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office, 18-year-old Edwyn Williams died following a shooting reported around 6 a.m. at The Reserve at Howell Place, located off Plank Road.
Officials said Williams was found inside a vehicle in the apartment complex’s parking lot. He was pronounced deceased after first responders arrived at the scene.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident. At this time, authorities have not released additional details regarding possible suspects or what may have led to the shooting.
