Deanthony Payn, Montgomery Police Investigating Early Morning Homicide, Victim Identified.
Montgomery Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. According to police, officers were dispatched around 1:25 a.m. to the 5100 block of Carmichael Road following reports of a person who had been shot.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities confirmed that he was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
Police have identified the victim as 30-year-old Deanthony Payne of Montgomery.
Officials say the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. At this time, no additional details have been released.
The Montgomery Police Department is asking anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
