Investigators say Gough was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion westbound when the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, left the roadway, and struck a tree. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
