Allen Anderson, 31-Year-Old Man Killed in Koreatown Rollover Collision; Two Others Injured.
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers have identified the driver who died in a rollover collision in Koreatown on Wednesday night.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 10:22 p.m. at the intersection of West First Street and North Vermont Avenue. According to an LAPD spokesperson, a blue sedan traveling north on Vermont Avenue collided with a dark-colored SUV heading east on First Street.
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the sedan driver deceased at the scene. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified him Thursday as 31-year-old Allen Anderson.
Paramedics transported a passenger from the sedan and a passenger from the SUV to local hospitals. Police reported that both individuals were in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation by the LAPD’s West Traffic Division, which is reviewing the circumstances of the collision. Officials have not indicated any contributing factors, such as impairment or speed, at this stage of the investigation.
Authorities urge drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic rules, particularly in busy intersections, as investigations into serious collisions continue.
