Kemmer spent six of his 10 professional seasons within the Houston Astros’ minor-league system, playing for Double-A and Triple-A affiliates between 2013 and 2018. Known for his passion for the game, he later transitioned into coaching, most recently guiding a youth travel team, the HTX Battle Bucks. Over the weekend, he had been coaching at a local tournament in Houston and was preparing to return home Sunday evening.
According to authorities, the incident occurred along Farm to Market 2004 road. Emergency officials responded, and Kemmer was sadly found unresponsive at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash are being reviewed.
Beyond his professional career, Kemmer was admired for his roots and dedication to developing young talent. A standout athlete during his high school years in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, he went on to shine as an outfielder at both Clarion College and Brewton-Parker College in Georgia.
