CHP investigators reported that the young man was driving a black 2015 Ford Mustang eastbound on Avenue 384 when his car crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a westbound white Ford pickup truck. Officials confirmed that the Mustang driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle, tragically succumbing to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 62-year-old man, sustained major injuries and was taken to Kaweah Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have not released information about his current condition.
