Sarah Weisman, Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Bullitt County.
Kentucky State Police Post 4 is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday evening in Bullitt County.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 7:34 p.m. on February 28, 2026, at the intersection of Kentucky Route 44 East and Watergate Drive near Mount Washington.
Preliminary findings indicate that a Toyota Tacoma, driven by a juvenile, was traveling westbound on KY 44 East when the vehicle’s passenger-side tires left the roadway onto the shoulder. Investigators say the driver attempted to correct the vehicle’s path, causing it to cross the centerline into the eastbound lane and collide with a Ford Escape.
Authorities report that the impact caused the Ford Escape to leave the roadway. The driver of the Ford, 27-year-old Sarah Weisman of Shepherdsville, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bullitt County Coroner.
The juvenile driver of the Toyota Tacoma was not injured, according to state police.
Emergency personnel from the Shepherdsville Fire Department, Mount Washington Fire Department, and Bullitt County EMS assisted troopers at the scene.
Trooper Scott Wheatley and Detective Brad Holloman responded to conduct a reconstruction of the crash. Officials say Detective Holloman is continuing the investigation.
Kentucky State Police have not released additional details at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
