Susan Minor, Woman Killed, Three Injured in Head-On Crash in Manassas.
A 74-year-old woman died and three others were seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Manassas, according to authorities.
The Prince William County Police Department said officers responded around 2:53 p.m. to the area of Sudley Road and Campus Drive to investigate the collision.
Police reported that Susan Minor, who was driving a 2019 Toyota Camry northbound on Sudley Road, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she attempted to pass another vehicle. During the maneuver, her vehicle struck a concrete median and crossed into oncoming traffic.
Authorities said Minor’s vehicle then collided head-on with a 2017 Honda CR-V driven by a 63-year-old man.
Minor was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries, police said.
The driver of the Honda CR-V and two passengers — identified by police as women ages 19 and 23 — were also taken to local hospitals with serious injuries. Their current conditions have not been released.
Investigators remain on the scene gathering evidence and reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash. Officials have not announced whether charges are pending.
The Prince William County Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has additional information to contact investigators.
