A 26-year-old man from Menard was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Saturday night, according to authorities.

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the victim as Alejandro Aaron Guerrero. The crash occurred on FM 181 near mile marker 336.

Investigators reported that Guerrero was traveling southbound in a 2018 Ram 1500 when his vehicle collided with the rear of a trailer being towed by a 2012 Kenworth truck. The driver of the truck, identified as 55-year-old Luis Estrada-Quinones, was also traveling southbound at the time of the incident.

Officials said Estrada-Quinones was not injured in the crash.

Troopers responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. No additional details have been released at this time.

Authorities have not indicated whether weather, road conditions, or other factors contributed to the crash. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
