Randall Lynn Bivens, 80-Year-Old Man Found Deceased After Camper Fire in Hall County.
Authorities in Hall County are investigating a camper fire that resulted in the death of an 80-year-old man on Thursday. According to Hall County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched around 12 p.m. to a fire on Bivens Road, north of Gainesville. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the camper fully engulfed in flames.
Emergency personnel worked to bring the fire under control as quickly as possible. After extinguishing the blaze, responders discovered one individual inside the camper.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased as Randall Lynn Bivens, 80. Authorities said he had been living in the camper at the time of the fire.
Officials stated that foul play is not suspected in the incident. However, as part of standard procedure, Bivens’ body has been transported to the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the official cause of death.
The camper was declared a total loss due to the extent of the fire damage.
Investigators with Hall County Fire Rescue are continuing to examine the scene to determine what caused the fire. No additional details have been released at this time.
