Officials said the vehicle ran a red light and collided with a Dodge Journey that was exiting the highway toward westbound Street Road. The Sonic then went airborne, crossed the center median, and struck a Honda Accord before coming to rest in the lanes of Street Road.
Police emphasized that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Traffic cameras operated by the Bensalem Township Police Department captured the incident, and investigators are reviewing the footage as part of their ongoing efforts.
